Weonrhee Designs the Primitive Structures Series of Furniture

Designer Weonrhee, who is also known as Jongwon Lee launches the new sustainable project in the form of the Primitive Structures series. It highlights the material that is rooted in his cultural and historical background. The capsule is made up of small stools and tables that resemble the look of the Dolmen, which is essentially a single-chamber megalithic tomb that is made up of two or more megaliths in an upright position to support a large flat capstone.

The series truly captured the sustainable mindset, noting that it is of high importance. PSL is a down-cycled material, which means that it is recycled in a way that results in a lower value than the original. The result of using this creates a primitive feeling through the pattern and texture. Engineered wood beams are made from water materials of plywood and LVL production.
