To be left up for one full year, an immersive exhibit called 'Please Touch the Art' by Danish artist Jeppe Hein has taken over Brooklyn Park Bridge in New York. The interactive exhibition includes a mirrored labyrinth made up of vertically installed stainless steel sheets.
Much of Hein's work is centered around the notion of engaging audiences as active participants. Other works in the sprawling public art exhibition include a piece composed of 16 red benches and a dynamic work that involves "soaring water jets."
Offering a stunning new frame for the Manhattan skyline, the Please Touch the Art exhibition is funded by New York City's Public Art Fund. The exhibition was curated by Nicholas Baume.
