Metallic Ribbon Exteriors

The Performance Center Alexanderhoehe Features a Unique Linkage Space

The Performance Center Alexanderhoehe, designed by the architecture firm B+U, is a sight to behold. The firm has created a gigantic metallic structure featuring ribbons (that almost resemble claws) wrapping around its gigantic frame.

Located in Iserlohn, Germany, the Performance Center Alexanderhoehe is situated just north of the Parktheater, which allows for the creation of a single visitor access point, according to Evolo, between this new building and the Parktheater. What is truly interesting about the design is that it is built with a "linkage space" that merges the old building with the new one. This linkage space, which continues underneath the Performance Center Alexanderhoehe acts as a combined lobby as well as entrance to the old and new theaters.
