Bec Brittain Designs the New Paracipher Series

Lighting designer Bec Brittain introduces her new Paraciphers series, which is a new range of illuminating designs that are inspired by the look and function of parachutes. It fuses together the connection between parachutes and some of her earlier works in terms of refraction, shadow, and reflection.

To translate this, Brittain highlights the patterning of the parachutes and reorganized them to create more context to bring awareness to larger issues. Each parachute has a message that highlights the shortcomings of today's society whilst also promoting messages of radical equality and community. The Paraciphers exhibition is currently on display at the Emma Scully Gallery, marking her second work there and it is on display until December 17th.
