Ho Hai Tran and his partner Chloe Cahill covered an incredible distance of 14,000 kilometers between the USA, Australia and New Zealand to photograph the original Pizza Hut restaurants that were built back in the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
Interestingly, most of the original Pizza Huts have since been refurbished or repurposed and are no longer recognizable. Some of them are now Chinese fast-food restaurants while others have reincarnated as grocery stories, funeral homes and pawn shops.
The local Pizza Hut was a place of wonder to anyone who grew up in the 1990s like Ho did. Ultimately, his photos are a celebration of the golden age of dine-in fast food and are dedicated to "who’s ever made a mountain of mini marshmallows on their self-serve sundae, maxed out on free refills at the drink fountain or driven past a hut and felt its strange allure".
