Modern Nonprofit Organization Headquarters

Promontorio’s Design for GS1 Boasts a Stylish Staircase

This office, which was built in the 1980s, is transformed into an organization headquarters for not-for-profit collective GS1. Located in Lisbon, the design is completed by Portuguese studio Promontorio who focuses on producing a slick, high-tech and contemporary aesthetic that will surely capture attention. The architectural company opted in for preserving the historic features of the structure which is a common practice in modern times. While the charm is apparent, the contemporary add-ons surely add another layer of atmospheric value.

The stylish organization headquarters is catered to fulfill GS1’s purposes which is to "develop and maintain global standards for business communication tools including barcodes and QR codes."

The centerpiece of the organization headquarters is, without a doubt, a gigantic spiraling concrete staircase with a ribbed design.
