Light Graffiti Games

The Nikolaus Dome-Home Challenge

Here's a light graffiti take on a traditional German drawing game called "This is the House of Santa Claus." Typically, the challenge is to draw a house in one line, not lifting the pencil while drawing, and not repeating one of eight straight lines (Traditional!)

What will happen if you transfer this drawing tradition into today’s thinking and use modern technology? Fusion Innovation!

Based on the ideas of Walther Wilhelm Johannes Bauersfeld (1879-1959) and the geodesic structure of Richard Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983), the Zendome-team thought about it for some time and came up with "8 + 1." Simply draw a cupola with one line, add one more, and you are able to draw Santa’s very own Dome-Home.

It's your turn now! Do you want to try drawing the geodesic house of Santa Claus yourself? A short-cut to how we did it can be found with the light-writing by Marcus Bläsing (New Home of Santa).

To support your drawing, either make up your own sentence or try something like "This geo-desic dome makes Santa feel at home."
