This Cozy House by Nap Architects Puts the Residents in Touch with Nature

Japanese studio Nap Architects designed this amazing abode called the Nasu Residence, located in the forest of Tochigi Prefecture.

The modernized home was created for a couple who have a very strong connection to nature. The entire home is modeled after a nomadic teepee structure. However, this particular home is much more contemporary and uses a variety of teepee forms to differentiate between rooms. The home has other various upgrades, which include its elevated floors. This was a necessary concept to incorporate in order to create a waterproof home. The elevation will allow both rain and snow to pass beneath the structure without interfering with the interior.

Nap Architects were able to ensure the home was cozy, modern and functional. The unique structure and location make this abode a true one-of-a-kind creation.
