Sloping Music Schools

The Conceptual Mevaseret Makes Use of the Natural Incline of the Terrain

The Mevaseret music school is a conceptual building design put together by the team at Pliskin Architecture that makes use of the naturally rough and uneven terrain of the Har'el park in Israel. The location is often unreachable due to the steep inclines of the ground, but the Mevaseret school design leverages the jagged landscape as a structural asset in creating the educational space.

The school offers a two-tiered design with an added conservatory for students and guests to enjoy the sight of the elevated landscape. The building's architecture works in conjunction with the ground's inclined terrain while offering a levelled plaza, cafe and learning space for large scale class rooms, auditoriums and study areas. The exterior facade blends into the natural surroundings with sandy taupe colors and a lattice grid pattern. Photo Credits: designboom, panyc.info
