Dezembro Arquitetos Creates a Modern Bakery, with Playful Elements

Dezembro Arquitetos is tasked with facilitating a playful modern bakery aesthetic for Mintchi Croissant--a business located in São Paulo. Its interior is made to answer the question of "how does it feel to be inside a croissant?"

When arranging the interior of the modern bakery, Dezembro Arquitetos embraced elements from the art of pastry-making. Select furniture elements, for example, were creatively decorated with an icing nozzle. Perforated terracotta bricks were used for the flooring, countertop, and benches at the establishment. Those putting everything together had to fill the perforated bricks with concrete, using an "improvised icing nozzle." The ceiling, on the other hand, is made out of lightweight cardboard. The interior also features various brass details.
