Microsoft's 'Mixed Reality Academy' Creates and Captures Holograms

Microsoft recently announced the opening of its Mixed Reality Capture Studios and Mixed Reality Academy inside of its San Francisco Reactor space, which will serve as accessible spaces for creators to make and capture holograms. These holograms have the potential to be used in a wide range of applications, especially with Microsoft's own HoloLens technology, and introduce next-level entertainment, gaming, education, ecommerce, fashion, sports and much more.

With these new spaces, Microsoft aims to "make high-quality holographic captures accessible for mixed reality creators everywhere." As part of this, Microsoft will be licensing its Mixed Reality Capture Studio, with one of the first licensed locations set to open in the city of London in a partnership with Hammerhead and Digital Catapult.
