This mining office building—which without a doubt draws the attention of the public because of its unconventional roof design—is located in the Quang Binh province in Vietnam. Dubbed The Kaleidoscope, the structure was designed and brought from concept to completion by Ho Chi Minh City-based architecture practice Inrestudio. The space is to be used as an office, as well as a residence for the employees who work at Hoang Long Mineral.
Tucked away between a hill and the sea, the site of the mining office building is rather remote and Inrestudio was mindful of the climate in the area. The building is made out of concrete. While the facade is perforated, adding an interesting twist to the aesthetic, the large roof was modelers on a Vietnamese hat.
