There's been a huge amount of Buzz online for the new McDonald's 'Come As You Are' commercial in France because of the storyline that features a gay teenage boy with his father. This is the first time that McDonald's will be featuring a gay character, and even though the commercial is only being aired in France thanks to the internet the clip went viral overnight.
The storyline features a young boy who affectionately tells someone on the phone that he misses them and later hangs up when his father is approaching. After realizing that the boy is gay the tagline reads "Come as you are."
