New York-based developers Macro Sea created aided a group of abroad students in creating this spectacularly revamped student residence. By transforming an old abandoned warehouse into a place where students could live and learn, the 79,000 square foot space now contains bedrooms, classrooms and living spaces.
The entire warehouse is a futuristic vision -- there are mezzanine sleeping areas, communal kitchens, lounge spaces and classrooms for studying. Deemed the 'G.27 Global Institute,' this building combines modern and retro themes to create a spacious living area for students.
By transforming a former car radio button factory in Berlin's Kreuzberg district, Macro Sea was able to upcycle an entire building. The warehouse may never have been used again if it weren't for this creative idea.
