Gorgeously Grecian Music Videos

The Lady Gaga G.U.Y. Music Video is Very Versace

At nearly 12 minutes in length, the Lady Gaga G.U.Y. music video is one of the longest music videos ever to be released by the pop star. Only about seven minutes of the "ARTPOP film" is actually dedicated to music though, leaving the rest for a considerable credit roll.

G.U.Y. (Girl Under You) is theatrical and as Gaga describes it, "it’s me almost like Alice in Wonderland going through my own rabbit hole in my brain and re-experiencing the past year of my life." The ARTPOP film is a lot to take in visually, but some of the major themes include a betrayal, rebirth, rebuilding and then a dose of revenge at the end. It also is host to a ton of unexpected guests, including Jesus, Gandhi, Michael Jackson, the women from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Bravo host Andy Cohen.

There’s plenty of references to goddesses, Greece and with all of the platinum hair, it’s hard not to see the video as a Versace collection come to life, especially since Gaga is the face of the Versace Spring 2014 ad campaign.
