The 'InvisiShield' Packaging Keeps Harmful Pathogens at Bay

The 'InvisiShield' packaging has been unveiled by Aptar Food + Beverage to offer a solution for brands that will help with keeping fresh-cut fruits, vegetables and seafood free from unwanted pathogens.

The anti-pathogenic packaging solution can used to protect freshly prepared produce from bacteria, viruses, and fungi, which could help immensely to mitigate the risks caused by these pathogens. The packaging solution is capable of being integrated into packaging and will work for 24 to 48 hours without being detectable to the consumer for a noninvasive experience.

President, Aptar CSP Technologies, John Belfance spoke on the 'InvisiShield' packaging saying, "We are extremely proud of our technology and the tremendous amount of work that has led to this launch. We have material science expertise that we are applying to food safety solutions at a critical time when consumers are demanding better and healthier food packaging outcomes."
