The Hyundai Prophecy Concept Has an Unlikely Control System

The Hyundai Prophecy electric vehicle concept has been revealed by the Hyundai Motor Company as a sporty new transportation solution that aims to transform the driver experience.

The vehicle maintains an autonomous-ready design that features joysticks in place of a steering wheel in the driver's seat to offer a new, intuitive interface for operators to enjoy. This lack of a steering wheel enables there to be no visual obstructions in front of the driver to help them maintain better connectivity with the onboard systems and road ahead.

The Hyundai Prophecy electric vehicle concept was explained by Head of Hyundai Global Design Center SangYup Lee who said, "We have brought to life yet another icon that establishes a new standard for the EV segment as well as pushing Hyundai’s design vision to even broader horizons. A part of that expansion is what we call Optimistic Futurism, a design concept embodied by ‘Prophecy.’ With Optimistic Futurism, our aim is to forge an emotional connection between humans and automobiles."
