House Ulve by Finland's Lassila Hirvilammi Architects

The House Ulve reminds me of the house that Steve Martin builds in House Sitter. If you haven’t seen that movie, I’ll explain: It’s simple modern design, with strong country-style undercurrents. They (the movie house and House Ulve) are obviously not of nature, and yet they both add a sense of serenity.

Lassila Hirvilammi Architects, which includes Anssi Lassila and Teemu Hirvilammi, designed House Ulve. Juha Pakkala assisted on the project, and the photos are by Jussi Tiainen.
