Geometric Home Additions

This Home Addition Highlights the Difference Between the Old and New

With a baby on the way, a couple living in Belgium found that a home addition needed to be added to their small living quarters. The couple consulted P8 architecten to create additional living spaces that included a patio, a lounge and a master bedroom, leaving ample room for their growing family.

Rather than making a completely seamless unit, the House LKS makes the difference between the old and new units quite apparent. While the existing unit has a darker look, the fresh and new building is painted white. This new structure is particularly intriguing when viewed from the outside, since the two windows are staggered and the bottom level features another recess for bike storage.
