Hel Yes! Restaurant at Stockholm Design Week is a Multisensory Experience

Fans of dinner theater, here is something to really whet your appetite: the Hel Yes! restaurant installation at Stockholm Design Week. Hel Yes! is a Finnish concept restaurant that will be offering Design Week visitors the opportunity to eat great food while watching a dance performance and a whalebone orchestra.

The Hel Yes! restaurant's week-long installation will be a social experiment intended to transform the "traditional dining ritual into high art," describes PSFK. Mythology, dance and food all come into play in this multisensory experience by restauranteur Antto Melasniemi, who has teamed up with artist Klaus Haapaniemi, designer Mia Wallenius and acclaimed choreographer Kenneth Kvarnström, along with the Helsinki Dance Company. Artist Maria Duncker will also provide music with her 'Bone Orchestra,' an innovative showcase that features instruments made of whale bone.
