Stretched Shelves

Denmark's Jakob Jorgensen and the Hamachi Shelf

Danish designer Jakob Jørgensen designed the Hamachi shelf, which is kind of a shelf, kind of a dresser and kind of art. The piece is wall-mounted and each shelf is covered by bright yellow stretchy material.

The Hamachi shelf can be mounted to the wall, and offers a great place to hide whatever randomness you need to hide when guests come around. If you're really OCD you could also use the Hamachi shelf to put away (alphabetically, of course) all the things that aren't pretty enough to be on the uncovered shelf.
