Mystic unveils its new Galactic Whiskey, which takes a literal sense of inspiration from its namesake. The company starts off the process with a 45% wheat mash bill and blends that together with water drawn from the Triassic Basin Aquifer in Hillsborough, North Carolina -- this is also where the distillery is based.
After it is ready, the distillery will then start strapping five of its wheat bourbon barrels that board a flight on a SpaceX rocket and then ships the alcohol out to a low-Earth orbit. There, it spends about a year aging in space before it is sent back and then bottled. When this is all completed, a single bottle will be able to be reserved with a US$75,000 non-fungible token.
