The Goldstuck, Musikverein Building by Franz Architekten is Eye-Catching

Resembling a gold urban monument, the Goldstuck, Musikverein building by Franz Architekten is a stunning performance space that is inspired by all thing music-related.

Founded in 1887, the Zwettl musical society held rehearsals in the attic storey of a municipal office that failed to meet their acoustic needs.

This new Goldstuck, Musikverein building’s "positioning presents an effective enhancement of the municipality’s entrance while offering the possibility for musical society concert areas that are located right next to their rehearsal space."

With its contemporary, cubed form, this structure resembles a minimalist city monument thanks to a checkered diamond facade that is showcased in a gold-colored finish.

Franz Architekten gained the inspiration for the eye-catching facade from "brass instruments and the pattern of the musical society’s uniforms." Their result is a striking architecture piece that celebrates the rich history of Zwettl.
