The Float Stool by Jillian Tackaberry Juxtaposes Metal and Fabric

Although the Float Stool began as an experimentation between metal and fabric, it has taken a life of its own. The unique shape that is subtly cantilevered pretty much steals the limelight from such an exploration. Although the use of such different materials does make the Float Stool even more appealing.

Described as a 'barstool of suspension,' the Float Stool was designed by Jillian Tackaberry, an industrial designer and student based in Chicago, Illinois. While the frame is made out of powder coated metal, the seat surface itself has been crafted out of felt. Airy and feminine, the Float Stool is a modern design that would add a nice touch of color to any home.
