Stunning Unconventional Seaside Abodes

This Experimental Seaside Home is Eccentric and Tranquil

This eccentric and experimental seaside home in the sleepy oceanside town of Mölle, Sweden, is by far the most unique seaside home I've seen to date.

Designed by Stockholm-based studio Elding Oscarson, this architectural feat is not only beautifully designed and conceptualized, but it gives those inside the home a feeling of complete and utter openness to its lush green surroundings and mesmerizing azure blue water.

The experimental seaside home is designed in a way so that its upper storey is completely made using oversized Douglas fir planks and the bottom half is transparent glass -- giving those inside unobstructed and overwhelmingly views.

"Experimentation has been overpowered by conservation," say the architects at the design firm. "Our ambition has been to recover Mölle's dormant architectural tradition, extrapolating it into the twenty-first century, while providing a house for generations to come."
