The Elijah Craig Char No. 3 cologne has been developed and created by Crafting Beauty as a bespoke fragrance that captures the essence of the brand's signature spirit. The fragrance was handled by Symrise and boasts notes of charred oak staves that are used by Elijah Craig to age its bourbon. The fragrance gets its name from the level 3 charred oak barrels used in each batch of bourbon, and has botanical notes of juniper, lavandin, berry and orange blossom alongside oak barrel, nutmeg and birch wood.
Heaven Hill Associate Vice President of Global Whiskey Brands Max Stefka commented on the Elijah Craig Char No. 3 cologne saying, "Elijah Craig’s pioneering approach to Bourbon-making, especially the art of barrel charring, has always been about craftsmanship, depth, and character. Those same qualities naturally lend themselves to a fragrance – one that captures the spirit of our legacy through a rich, layered scent experience that feels unmistakably Elijah Craig."
