This DIY Camera Lens Lets Users Take Soft Focus Shots in a Snap

Camera lens can be expensive, which is why this DIY camera lens made from a sink strainer is sure to be a thrifty photog's best friend.

Simply start with a sink strainer and drill the holes to become slightly larger; this will allow you to capture more, but not too much. After you’ve painted it black, attach the strainer to an inexpensive camera lens that can be purchased for a very low price. Secure the sink piece to the lens with simple washers or any included components that came with the lens.

Voila! Attach the lens to your camera and what you’re left with is a seriously unique tiltshift-like lens that will take beautifully faded shots that don’t require any additional editing. Complete instructions are available from Nick Cool over at DIY Photography.
