The Almora Designer Lounge Chair WasUnveiled at Milan Design Week 2014

Treat yourself to this awesome Himalaya mountains-inspired designer lounge chair, where you can just wrap a throw around you, indulge in a glass of white wine and flick through your favorite book or magazine.

Designed by Anglo-Indian design duo Doshi Levien, the new 'Almora' designer lounge chair was recently revealed in MilanDesign Week 2014. Created using memories of a trip to the Himalaya mountains in India, the 'Almora' chair was the duo's first product designed for Italian brand B&B Italia.

"The idea of the chair really comes from this memory of seeing the snow-capped Himalayan peaks wrapped in a soft, warm blanket," says Jonathan Levien.

The chair is made using a conical plastic frame, a curved oak headrest and is upholstered in leather and shearling.

"You are wrapped in the soft warm blanket so you enjoy the mountains but you are warm where you are," says Nipa Doshi.
