'Coca-Cola Coffee Plus' is Packed with Caffeine and Low on Calories

Caffeine-lovers in Japan are likely to find the 'Coca-Cola Coffee Plus' beverage that was recently released appealing, due to its inclusion of 34mg of caffeine per 190ml can. In addition to instantly giving consumers a boost of energy, Coca-Cola Coffee Plus contains 50% fewer calories than the soda brand's traditional soft drinks.

To create the powerful drink, Coca-Cola uses an extract powder to increase the caffeine content, which gives the drink an unconventional aroma that's said to neither smell like Coca-Cola or a cup of coffee. In order to keep the release exclusive, the soda brand has only made it available from its vending machines in Japan, making it a sought-after novelty that prompts consumers to seek it out.
