The Clopen Shelf Lets You Hide Valuables in Plain Sight

Those looking for a new place to hide their valuables are going to want to check out the Clopen Shelf. The Clopen Shelf is an aluminum safe designed to look like a wooden shelf. Inside the faux wood shelf is a 23mm wide safe that can only be opened using a set of magnetic keys.

The Clopen Shelf was designed by Japan's Torafu Architects. Torafu Architects did an amazing job at concealing the shelf's true function, with the faux wood looking every bit as real as it's supposed to. The shelf has reportedly entered production, but there's no word on how much it will cost and whether or not it will be available outside of Japan. It looks like you'll have to hide your valuables in the sock drawer for a little while longer.
