KFC Japan Used Packaging that Lessened the Fried Chicken Scent

Following news of gender barrier-breaking Colonels and branded fast food trends, this fast food chain is pioneering again with their considerate low-impact fried chicken scent.

KFC Japan introduced a 'low smell' chicken box designed for commuters who don't want to stink up the subway with their food. The Fried Chicken Home Type was a special, limited time offer that was only available until December 31st, 2017 at a Tokyo subway station pop-up location. The box contained two pieces of fried chicken and served to mask the chicken scent from others. The packaging was made out of a less-breathable plastic instead of cardboard. The chicken was also at room temperature, so customers would reheat their meal once they got home.
