Seafaring-Inspired Soccer Kits

The New Boca Juniors Kit is Inspired by the Ports of Buenos Aires

Nike have revealed Argentine powerhouse soccer team Boca Juniors' kit for the upcoming 2014-15 season. The kit's design is inspired by the ports that surround the team's home neighborhood of La Boca.

The primary Boca Juniors kit features a pennant tab sporting an anchor alongside the club's founding year, 1905. The anchor commemorates the Swedish ships that arrived at the ports of La Boca at the beginning of the 20th century; these ships inspired the legendary team's blue and golden colors.

The white away jersey sports a bold golden stripe bordered by deep blue piping, and also contains a pennant displaying an anchor and the club's founding year.

In addition to distinct design elements that pay homage to La Boca's seafaring history, the kit also features the latest in Nike performance innovation including Dri-Fit technology, laser-cut ventilation holes and mesh panels.
