Marble-Imitating Foam Blocks

Blocksfinj Designs a Range of Foam Furniture That Resembles Stone

Beirut-based furniture label Blocksfinj recently introduces two collections entitled 'Moonstruck' and 'Bonding Blues.' The two series are comprised of polyurethane foam blocks in a range of geometric structures that can be stacked or function as stools, dividers and benches. The Moonstruck collection resembles marble and the Bonding Blues collection references the classic terrazzo floor tiles that are often seen around the Mediterranean and Lebanon.

The Moonstruck pieces are a result of the designer's admiration of the unique foam structures and its potential to be much more than it is. It reacts to light and with time the hues turn into a yellow color. Foam can be architectural as it is open for composition reconfiguration, creating experimental space and imaginative concepts. The Bonding Blues collection is based off of the man-made shipped foam materials.
