François Bauchet Designs the Azo Collection for Galerie Kreo

French designer François Bauchet crafted the Azo collection comprised of furniture made from composite materials for Galeria Kreo. Bauchet used sand, resin, and concrete to create clover-shaped foundations beneath his designed furniture pieces. Every piece is comprised of two components -- the clover column and a blocky surface that make up either benches, tables, consoles, or small side tables. The mineral composite materials are made into moulds to be reinforced with panels and fibreglass.

Bauchet's vision of the clover-shaped pieces highlights his ideal mindset that shapes should be simple and free, rather than conforming to controlled and regulated forms. The Azo collection gets its name from the word 'azoic seabed' that is completely made from mineral materials and zero organic pieces. The clover-shaped furniture is on display at the Galerie Kreo's exhibitions from February 16 to May 12 in Paris, and February 22 to May 19 in London.
