Alderson’s Hot Sauce Logos are Inspired by Ancient Mayan Art

Alderson Sauces collaborated with Spasm Studio's illustrator Natasha Alimova to create an ancient Mayan art logo for its trio of sauces. With inspiration from Central American, Mayan art, Alimova hand drew each logo to represent a Mayan artifact. He then transformed each artifact into the silhouette of a chili.

Alderson's Sauces are available in three bold flavor of Chipotle, Salsa Verde and Zest which are portrayed through the equally as bold color palette used by Alimova. Bright red, green and orange convey each flavor's individual personality. These boldly colored logos are then mounted onto black backgrounds to enhance the color.

A different font is also used to represent each separate flavor of sauce. This is an uncommon technique used in branding but it works extremely well in this ancient Mayan art-infused packaging.
