Always/Never by United Visual Artists Explores the Perception of Time

Inspired by the function of a sundial, Always/Never by United Visual Artists is a light installation that explores perceptions of time.

The piece was constructed with powder coated steel, timber, LED lighting to compose a pyramidal grid that imitates the fluidity of light passing through time. With coding that ensures the piece is consistently transforming, Always/Never arouses thought on the consistency of measuring past, present, and future.

"Changing patterns of light and shadow create the illusion of a fluid surface; shifting combinations of colours from nature recall different times of day," say the artists of their piece.
