Human Form Drawers

Peter Rolfe Contructs Wooden Torso Dressers

British sculptural furniture designer Peter Rolfe has created a set of wooden torso dressers. The handcrafted furniture is made to resemble nude male and female torsos with cheekily placed drawers.

Originally trained in traditional woodworking methods, Peter Rolfe has recently been updating his techniques and learning new approaches to his craft including timber manipulation. Rolfe says that his work is "...heavily influenced by nature, using shapes that we all recognize but would not be traditionally thought of as furniture forms." He used birch plywood to sculpt these detailed wooden torso dressers.
