Columbian artist Federico Uribe has created a new art series titled 'We're at peace' that consists of thousands of spent bullets shells that have been transformed into stunning animal-themed sculptures.
Now based out of Miami, Florida, this collection from Uribe presents an interesting juxtaposition between material and subject. It's intriguing to think that a lethal medium like firearm bullets can be transformed into wild animals so full of life like bears, lions and various different birds. Of course, another interesting interpretation is that the sculptures are actually meant to represent animal trophies, and they too are also interestingly made up of the very same material that would be used to hunt and kill them for display.
Regardless of the message, what it certain is that the 'We're at peace' collection certainly does show a stunning display of artistic prowess and attention to detail.
