When professional Chicago-based welder Richard Lauth isn't working with heat and metal to make a living he can often be found creating these beautiful piece of welding art.

A jack of many trades, the 23 year old Lauth is a combination welder, fabricator and now artist who makes instantly recognizable welding art pieces in his spare time. Besides sculptures and models, this talented young artist makes brilliantly colored designs on pieces of metal. Using his welding gun and the manipulation of heat, he is able to create a wide array of colors and patterns to reveal themselves upon ordinary steel surfaces.
