Pier Fabre's 'Dripping' Features 200 Red Strings

For his waterfall installation, titled 'Dripping,' French artist Pier Fabre suspended over 200 red strings through the cascade at Egliseneuve d'Entraigues. The installation is featured as part of the Horizons Sancy art and nature festival.

The strings, which measure about 20 meters in length, are separated into three curved tiers that appear to hover mid-air above the water. This magical illusion is achieved through the use of metal wires, which carry the strings to a frame anchored by rocks on either side of the water.

Water runs along the lines and drips below, creating a perpetual rainfall. According to Fabre, the installation is at its best when backlit, illuminating every single droplet for a stunning effect.
