Peep Into 'The Transparent City'

'Voyeuristic' may be too dramatic of a word to describe the photography of Michael Wolf, but you definitely get a sense of ‘peeping’ on unsuspecting individuals in these images.

The shots in this collection titled ‘The Transparent City’ were all taken in Chicago in 2007. I found myself absorbed by the nighttime images of tall, glass-walled buildings.

Celebrations, meetings, renovations--floor by floor, the intimate happenings within the rooms are captured by Wolf. The photographs are from far enough away that specific details of the subjects are impossible to see, but the overall effect is like a stunning graphic puzzle.
