Cliff-Embracing Homes

The Veronica Beach House by Luis Longhi Boasts a Craggy Wall

The Veronica Beach House embraces its surroundings in such an inspired way, perhaps it is possible for humans to live alongside nature without destroying everything in their path. Although it is an undeniably modern abode complete with cubic proportions and minimalist aesthetics, the Veronica Beach House incorporates the cliff it rests on into its design.

Designed by American architect Luis Longhi, the craggy surface of the cliff has made its way into the Veronica Beach House. It makes up one of the walls to add a natural bit of texture into the otherwise sterile interior. The stone of the wall is complemented by concrete stairs and floors as well as bare white walls. Although quite stark, the stunning views from the floor-to-ceiling windows adds enough vibrancy to last a lifetime.
