Vector Architects Attached an Elevated Walkways to an Office

Vector Architects inserted outdoor walkways and terraces to connect office developments in China to create a walkable office complex. The complex is located in Chengdu, Sichuan province. It is raised on large pilotis.

The complex comprises of11 standalone office buildings, including the Luxelakes Floating Headquarters. Now, the buildings are connected via a network of elevated walkways crossing large courtyards. Vector Architects aimed to connect the office buildings with the adjacent residential spaces through its podium levels and green pockets. This creates convenient spaces for residents and workers to meet and dwell.

According to the studio, the project aim was to "construct an environment able to enhance this most charming aspect of a contemporary city ... a space where tenants and residents can be stimulated to unlock new lifestyle possibilities."
