When designing the VDVT House, architecture firm Boetzkes | Helder went with a more triangular approach. The house comes together in a sharp point at the front, and has a dark exterior aesthetic.
For contrast, on the inside the abode is extremely white-washed, and not exactly what one would expect from entering. This darker outside and lighter inside aesthetic actually works quite well, ensuring that it never feels to claustrophobic. The light bounces perfectly off the walls, making the space look bigger and making sure residences wake up with a smile instead of being shut off from the outside world. The VDVT House is an excellent example of distinct geometric architectural design, and one that works perfectly inside and out.
