Urban Living Room by Eddy Kaiser and Powerboat Makes Streets Cozy

In an effort to encourage more people to step out of their private homes and interact with their community in public spaces, artist Eddy Kaiser has launched the Urban Living Room project in collaboration with the Powerboat Theater Collective. Located in Rotterdam, Holland, the set-up consists of a completely blue space with blue seating and furniture designed to look like a cozy living room.

Standing out from the normal urban setting, the bright blue color and home-style furniture attracts and encourages people to have a look and to feel at home in a communal environment. Furthermore, Powerboat will be organizing events in this location to create more interaction between people and public spaces as well as with each other.

The Urban Living Room project is a great way to make people feel safe and comfortable in the streets.
