Underground Art Galleries

The Platform at Degrave Street Subway Station

Art is everywhere. It'[s on the streets, in our local coffee shops and now even on the tube.

The Degrave Street subway station surpasses the average tube line, thanks to its art deco attributes like pink tiles. It has been transformed into a gallery space aptly named, the Platform.

The space is made up of wall mounted exhibits, glass cabinets, standing installations and performance art. The Platform is dedicated to local artists who can apply to exhibit on an annual basis. There is also a cabinet dedicated to young emerging artists aged 15-25. The station also houses independent boutiques selling fashion, jewelry, magazines and music.
