The Tymn Armstrong 'Fauxgo' Series Illustrates Fictional Logos

Fictional companies and bogus brand names have been appearing in films and TV for decades, and the creative and quirky Tymn Armstrong 'Fauxgo' series aims to represent each of these popular phony enterprises.

From the airline company in the TV series Lost to the fake restaurant chain 'McDowells,' of the 1988 Eddie Murphy flick 'Coming to America', these illustrations are a great way to remember some of your fave faux logos. The 'Dinoco' design from the 1995 animated film Toy Story takes me back to the days of Woody and Buzz Lightyear, while the 'Weyland-Yutani Corp' logo from 1986's Aliens ignites the sci-fi fan spark within.

Whether it be for legal or copyright reasons, or as a tongue-in-cheek reference to a popular franchise, phony logos will surely continue being a feature in movies and TV. The Tymn Armstrong Fauxgo series, started in August 2011, is updated daily with new designs for you to check out and enjoy.
