Do Ho Suh Infuses a Personal Quality to 'Korridor'

South Koren artist Do Ho Suh's vibrant transparent home installations were welcomed at the ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum in Denmark. The exhibit is running from November 2018 until February 2019 and the theme is strongly tied to the creative's personal experiences.

The installation presents "eight hand-sewn fabric passages connected end-to-end." It taps traditional Korean techniques of sewing, as well as some architectural sensibilities. The artwork is a nod to the homes that Do Ho Suh has lived in while growing up — from Seoul to London to Berlin. Dubbed 'Korridor,' the transparent home sculptures are interactive as they allow the audience to survey the "accurate and full-size renditions of the homes [the artist] has lived in."
