The Tonus Stool by Aldo Bakker Takes on an Abstract Form of the Elephant

The Tonus stool looks like an abstract form of an elephant to me -- it's strong, stumpy and curvaceous in all the right places. It resembles the Cliffs of Etretat located in Normandy, France, which also happen to take a decidedly elephantine shape.

Created by Dutch designer Aldo Bakker, the Tonus stool is made out of solid oak wood. Although it has a very organic aesthetic, its smooth surface betrays more of a refined existence that is definitely suitable for modern and sophisticated homes.

In fact, the Tonus stool is pretty versatile. It can fit perfectly into an urban abode or a countryside cabin.
