Design student Thomas Savage of England's Northumbria University has created a dual-purpose aquatic structure known as 'In Praise of Birds & Other Things.' The lengthily named structure is designed to serve a purpose to both humans and birds and would sit off the coast of Blyth, England. Savage designed the structure to act as a lodging for people in the summer and autumn. Once winter comes about, the nine-storey towers would be used as a nesting area for birds.
Each tower would have communal areas as well as places for campers to cook food. In the winter and spring the exposed areas of the structure would be boarded up to provide protection for the birds inside. Bird watchers would be able to access the site to observe the birds.
